Well we all know whats around the corner. We are feeling the pressure of Valentines Day. Guys and girls scramble to get their significant other gifts without taking to much thought into them. Its usually the same thing every year or something very similar. And then the day pretty much just becomes like any other day. So lets take a look at some fun creative gift ideas that show you put some thought into them and I like that some of this stuff can be revamped a bit for other holidays like birthdays, christmas and even just the occasional just because i love you day

Lets start off with an easy gift idea and one I love. Baked goods or candy are a great way to say I love you but dont settle for store bought. Make your own. Cupcakes are easy and fun to make and get creative with. If you do candy try making a cute container to put them in. Design a creative box to put the cupcakes in and write a sweet little note to go with them.

On the same line try making a homemade dinner. I personally hate trying to get into some fancy restaraunt and waiting an hr for a table on valentines day. So in my house we started a tradition of planning a fancy dinner at home and we cook it together. We don't get to be home together to often because we both work so we love this time together and its fun. We usually will plan a yummy dessert to go with..hint hint those cupcakes u made would be great. Last year my boyfriend had valentines day off and i worked so he made me a delicious seafood dinner and knowing i was tired and achy from work he drew me a hot bath with candles and scented oils and flowers in it. It was so sweet and thoughtful. I love when simple things like this really warm a person's heart.

Got a honey that likes gardening. Well buy some seeds and cheap pots from the local gardening store and decorate the pots with things that mean something to him or her. Then make some homemade satchels to transfer the seeds into. Those seed packets at the store are so ugly. Use some light cardstock in valentine colors and then decorate with things like lace or glitter and add sweet sayings on each pack. Your honey will love it. Just dont forget to write the name of the seeds on the homemade packet.

Hey guys does your gal like pretty soaps that cost a fortune. Well try your hand at making some homemade soap. www.marthstewart.com has great ideas for soaps. You can even make them in different colors and carve words like I Love U in them. U can also try your hand at homemade candles. Most craft stores have easy kits for these.

Of course homemade cards are always creative too. Just put some effort into it and it wont look like a three yr old did it. This also allows you to write a little something from your heart instead of from someone elses like on a store bought card. R u good at song writing or poetry. Then write up a song or poem for your honey. Its sure to touch the heart since its straight from yours.

Are you artsy...well try your hand at making a painting or drawing for your loved one. Make sure to paint or draw something that relates to them. I love getting paintings from my boyfriend. We have many of them up in the house.

Also try making a gift basket of inexpenisve things. This way you can get a variety of stuff.

Remember don't over think these things and get stressed out. Do some research online too for some more fun ideas and just get creative and have fun with it. Hope these help you out a bit
